Dear Friends,

 

It is with Thanksgiving for the goodness of God that I greet you again. He has blessed us and continues to bless us in more ways than we can count – that we might share His blessings in a desperate world filled with needs.

 

As many of you know we continue to build on the ruins of the Tsunami that devastated parts of Indonesia and India last year.   Our goal is to have vital ongoing centers of relief and education that serve both children and adults.  In both Indonesia and India, we are supporting centers that help feed and cloth the school children and also provide needed tutoring.  In India and Indonesia, we hope to help train adults to start their own “micro” businesses enabling them to support their families.  These can be as small as a cart that sells needed goods or a small sewing business.  In

India, we continue to support indigenous missionaries.  We are not the only ones supporting these works – but we are an essential part of their support.  These “good Works” not only meet physical needs, but are a demonstration and introduction to the love of Christ.  As a result, muslims and others are accepting this love and making decisions for Him.

 

Last month, 15 students were graduated from the worker’s training center, equipped with new skills.  These individuals were sent out to different communities to start new works.  Your funds helped support this center and its students, and its graduates are now a testimony of what can be done with the support of many.   It is vision turned into action.

Many of you have been generous in your giving.  After our last newsletter we received a gift of $15,000.00 for the building of an educational center in Indonesia.  Since that time, we have learned that we need another $20,000.00 to actually get the center built and serving the community.  This includes $5,000.00 for the salaries of staff.

 

 

Listed below are some specific ways you can designate your giving:

 

 

In addition, we need $1,000.00 a month for ongoing support of works in progress in Indonesia and India.  All offerings received are sent entirely to Indonesia and India.  No offering money is used for administrative expenses or salaries at home.

Jumpstart Network continues to meet needs at home.  Our English as a Second Lanugage (ESL) Classes continue to serve immigrants from a variety of countries.  We minister to the homeless by bringing meals to a local homeless center and by hosting a Christmas dinner that can only be called fancy, as well as homey. The dinner includes singing, stage presentations, fellowship and is holiday fun.  We also are now working on providing 200 boxes to needy families at Christmas.  Your monetary gifts will help us to meet these expenses and are much appreciated.

 

 

In January I will return to India and Indonesia to view firsthand the works in progress there and to offer my encouragement and support. In the meantime, I am in frequent contact with Pastor Chacko, our ministry partner in Indonesia and with other partners in ministry in my native India.  I look forward to bringing you up to date the early part of next year, after I return from my trip.
