"Extending and connecting God’s hand to the poor, helpless and hurting."
Jumpstart Network’s International Projects
We give monthly support for Christian workersin India and Indonesia as well as church planters laboring in the extreme rural or tribal areas.
Jumpstart Network helps create Garment Making Training Centers for unemployable young women in rural areas: Now we have around six institutes, training young ladies in India and a couple in Nepal. This is aninstant employment tool that trains the students in six months to start their own garment making home based business and which will provide a future for them and their families. This has successfully opened doorsto spread the gospel in communities, where it is usually not welcomed or prohibited. The Lord is successfully using this tool to reach many families and individuals for His Kingdom.
One of the other micro-business that Jumpstart Network creates is cow and water buffalo milking. We purchase and give milk cows, or water buffalos, to local families in order to create revenue and a renewable food source for them. They can then feed their family with the milk or if they have extra can sell it. This of course does not solve all their problems but we are looking into other effective outreaches through micro businesses that would address many needs in certain regions.
We have helped to build and repair many worship structures during the past several years and are looking to expand that program to assist the poor and hurting.
Currently we have a couple of learning centers partially or fully supported by Jumpstart Network.
Jumpstart Network hands out winter clothing and blankets to help poor tribal population in the mountains areas. Each year many die due to the extreme cold.
We supply bicycles and motor bikes for mission workers in the rural area as transportation to reach villages. We have supplied many in the past but more are still needed.
We supply Bible, study materials, and outreach materials for Christian workers. One of the outreach tools that we use are portable sound systems. This is an effective tool for reaching the lost in the rural villages.
From time to time, we travel with national leaders, in various parts of India and Nepal to minister at conferences and workers’ training events. These are one of the effective ways to encourage and prepare the national outreach workers in their services to the hurting and lost, in rural areas. Our financial assistance is very much needed by these national workers / leaders for the ongoing success of their outreach efforts among the poor and hurting people in the rural areas.
